life as of late.

I went to the doc yesterday.  My doctor saw me in triage friday night didn't even remember I was there or that I'm supposed to be on bedrest.. nothing.  I was pissed to say the least.  I'm kind of hoping cupcake comes shortly after 37 weeks so I don't have to deal with anymore ob visits.

O came down with a cold over the weekend.  His temp hit 102.4, I took him in he's got pneumonia.  For the first time ever he's actually just been laying on the couch with me all day cuddling. They gave him a shot of antibiotics, I have to do breathing treatments 2-3 times a day plus oral antibiotics for 10 days.  I take him back thursday for a recheck.

We also got news that mom's kidneys aren't doing well.  They may be going into failure.  More testing next week.

I've definitely had enough of bad news for awhile.

alright, alright.

Whew.  This past week has been tough.  Got everything moved from the old place to mom's.  Working a little bit extra to try and get the funds for moving / keeping on top of bills while I'm on maternity leave.  The exhaustion of the third trimester, along with a 14 month old that doesn't sleep through the night has left me just plain worn out.  I took today as a stay home day.. even when I got in the car and was going to run a couple errands the gods had a different plan.  Flat tire.  Completely to the ground flat.. I have to change it to the spare in order to drive.  Instead I just went back inside, took a bubble bath and have been vegging out.  I have managed to do about six loads of laudry though.  I've enjoyed just letting my brain think whatever it wants without interruption of whiny / crying.  He has been battling a double ear infection and cutting his two front teeth, so I get it you're upset and in pain.  I think it's a trait of all men to whine when they don't feel well.

I think I'm going to wrap up my computer time.  And put myself to bed until the rest of the family returns from work / daycare.

Snow!

I was finally able to get O out into the snow for the 1st time.  Hopefully that'll be the last time it snows this winter.  I'm really not much of fan anymore, now that I have to drive to work and all.

It seems we moved again.

Mom and I talked, she's gonna go ahead and let us stay with her until a) I save up for my own place or b) we find a giant house together.  Either way it relieves A LOT of my stress!  I was renting the upstairs of a house, I could not imagine being full term carrying a toddler up and down those dang stairs, let alone a newborn!   Another good thing I'm only about ten minutes away from work, rather than thirty.  We still haven't fully decided on how it's going to work out but at least we are one step closer to our goal! 

side note : cupcake's teeny thirsties diaper covers arrived!  I love little fluffy bums!!

welp.

Looks we're gonna be staying with mom for at least 2 more weeks.  Her leg isn't healing as well as it should. 

Stopped in Ikea.  OH MY GOD!  They have the absolute best chocolate cake, EVER!  My mouth is already watering over the thought of another slice. 

Cupcake Shower!

I came home from work tonight at about 11pm to discover my family set up a little cupcake baby shower!  I opted out of a full on shower, seeing as my son is only 14 months and I have all the big items.  My Auntie still wanted me to have something so she put it together.  Complete with cupcakes!  My favorite where the lemon filled ones.. mm.  I was so shocked I cried.  I haven't really received much support with this pregnancy, as my family was quite a bit upset with my life situation and then to be adding another baby.  It was comforting to know that they are looking forward to the newest addition.

Paid all of my current bills and an additional month on a couple.
Paid everything I had in collection.
Working on paying off credit debt.
FEELS SO GOOD!

In other news, I failed the 1hour glucose test.  On to the 3 hour... hooray for 4 blood draws!

My son also started packing a blanket around daycare.  We've named it "Thomas"... oi!

O has been sick.

which means neither one of us has slept.
work is going well.  I'm just praying they'll hold my position while I'm on maternity leave.
Found out we have to move by April 1st.  I'm really hoping to find our own apartment by then.  If not we may have to stay with my mom for a month or two.
Filed my taxes.  It kind of makes me love my kid even more.. I feel like it's my own pay check for the past year of motherhood.  ha.. It'll definitely help me get back on track and get about halfway out of debt.  Now with working again (and making a bit more) I hope to keep afloat.
I am so anxious for the next few months.

This Mama...

just scored herself a job!!  I am excited for everything this means for us.  The biggest and most needed is a place to call our own.  Hopefully this will happen before May.  I won't stress too much, if it happens in June that's okay too.. I would just really like to be settled BEFORE the new addition. 
I was rehired with a company I worked for over the summer but at a different facitlity.  The kicker!!  I'll be making $2.75 more an hour.  That actually gives me a chance to get into my own apartment without a roommate, my ideal situation.
I'm a bit sad that O will have to return to daycare.  He'll be going to the same place as when he was an infant, his uncle and aunt attend there as well.  Not too mention the providers wife was my nurse when I delivered O.  Small world!  On the plus side, he LOVES other kids and I'm looking forward to him socializing.  Hopefully getting over his terrible case of separation anxiety.  His baby sister will be going with him in just a few months.
Big changes will be happening around here.

Monster Jam 2011!

Was pretty awesome!!  It was O's first time, duh he's only 1.  We were bad and took videos.. I will post one or two!  O was super cute.. when the trucks started up he'd cover his eyes with his hat and then after a few seconds peek out at them.  He didn't seem upset, just startled by the loudness of it all.  Though I do think he peed himself a little each time the trucks would start up.. ha.

The one thing I had always hoped when I had children is that their father would be involved.  Unfortunately, I made a poor decision in who fathered my son and as it stands.  I do not have any photographs of him with his father, just like I do not have any photographs of myself with my father.

Our First Vacation!

12/52 - Nick's Catching UP!

After all the sickness, your butt didn't want to work.  We made our first 3am trek (3/2) to winco for dark karo syrup in hopes of helping you out.  No go.  At 10am you were still miserable.  We went to target, I bought everything they have to make a kid poop, plus everything for coughs / colds and sore teeth.  Hopefully I can avoid another 3am run!
Wednesday (3/3) you went back to daycare and I went back to work, they aren't very happy with me missing so many days but I had the doctors note they requested!
By Friday Mama was sick, so I got to have a stay home day.
You're beginning to become quite interested in your hands, placing them on your bottle during feedings, sucking.. well licking them as a form of comfort and even rubbing your eyes when you start to get sleepy.
Today we hung out with Monica and Nick, thrifting and what not.  I can't believe how big Nick has gotten in just the past 2 weeks.  He's only a pound behind you now!  I can't wait for the day when you two start playing.  I'm sure they're will be many fights over toys as well.

This afternoon Mom and I ventured over to Monica's to meet her new addition!  Dominick Alexander he was born on the 5th weighing 5lbs 5oz.  He is soooo tiny.  Oliver hasn't ever been that small (well at least not outside the uterus) it was strange holding him.

It was a two and half hour drive there and back.  I sat with him going and mom did on the way home.  I loved surprising everyone!  I'm hoping to plan another trip out there before I return to work.  Auntie has a spare bedroom.. that I might just not want to leave.  heehee... I love her house so much!  I want to take out my magic wand, shrink it down and put in my pocket to put it where ever I want!  It has dark hardwood floors through out... sighs I could go on and on. 

Oliver is staying the night at Gramma GG's tonight for the very first time.  A piece of my heart feels like it's gone missing but I know he's well taken care of and now I can indulge in some much needed sleep.

Oliver is One Month old today!  Holy crow!  Mom and I are driving out to Ocean City tomorrow am so the little man can meet his Great Grandma.  There will be photos!  I really hope it isn't raining.  I want to take a quick trip on the beach with Oliver, it'll be his first time seeing the ocean.  And possibly stop by my father's grave so he can meet his Grandson.

He's been asleep nearly alll day.  I think he might be having a growth spurt.  :)  His swing batteries died tuesday night.. hopefully that won't be an issue tonight.

I actually got quite a bit accomplished today.  Packed up all the baby goodies for my friend Monica, she just had a little boy on the 5th.  Got everything for Oliver packed and ready for tomorrow plus a load of his laundry done.  Put my craft storage shelf together.  (now I just need to get the fabric baskets and photo boxes to store it all in)  Printed out and put together the photo album of Oliver & family for Great Grandma.  And of course doted on my little one all day.  <3

Christmas Shopping is Done!

I finished all in one day!  (Mom's stocking just needs a little help.. it's pretty skimpy.)  After I'm finished here at mom's (have I mentioned how much is sucks not having internet at home!??!  Hopefully that'll change shortly after the new year...) I'm going to go on a wrapping spree and fill the empty space under my tree.  For everyone that I wasn't able to purchase gifts for they'll be getting a tin full of homemade cookies!  mm.

I had a feeling FedEx would be stopping by today.. sure enough just a little after 2pm my new lens finally arrived!!  I love it!  I can't wait to take billions of photos of my son!  I plan on doing a 52 week project for him of his first year.

Christmas Day is gonna be pretty skimpy when it comes to opening gifts, since I've already received nearly all of mine.  Just waiting on mario kart ds and nordstrom gift cards.  I got spoiled this year!  Plus Hopefully Santa will be bringing me a baby!  I can't believe I'm due in 5 days!  That's insane.

After all this rambling I'll leave you with a photo looking out from my patio.  I plan on doing all four seasons.  This being winter... (duh!)

Maternity Leave.

I've been on leave for a week.  I am bored out of my freaking mind already!  When is this kid gonna come?!!  I have been enjoying sleeping in, lazying around watching tv / movies and eating.  Thursday is payday, I'm looking forward to it because I can finally go christmas shopping!  It's strange not having to shop for a "boyfriend" this year.  This is only the 2nd year that has happened since I was 15!  Instead I'm shopping for my little brother and my son.  Weird.  Mom wants a toaster oven.. who knows why?!  Though I'm gonna get it for her.  And she requested no candy in her stocking, so I gotta figure out what else to put in there!  Maybe some oranges!   

I might pick up some yarn and work on another scarf, that's a good way to waste time!

I definitely have to see this!

Dang, I really wish I had internet at home.  There have been many posts I've wanted to make but having limited access really messes with my daily blogging!!  ha. 

Mom and I are birth class drop outs!  The night before I decided that I really didn't want to go...  hopefully that won't be something I regret later.  Instead we put some finishing touches on Baby O's room.  And I finished washing all his newborn & 0-3 mos clothes, put them all away.  Now his room is pretty much ready and waiting for him!  (Though I plan on co-sleeping... it's still nice to have a place to tuck all his junk!)  On Sunday, Kyle came home!!  After spending 2 months with a potential adoptive family, he was having a very difficult time fitting it.  Mom thought it over and decided that she would go ahead and adopt him.  He had already been with us for nearly a year and half.  He's been back 3 days now and he's already fallen back into his routine and rhythm with us.  Since today is Veteran's Day, daycare is closed... I stayed home with him watching movies and baking cookies!!

We're 35 weeks today!!!  That means there's only 35 days to go until D-Day!  wow!  I've only got 2 weeks of work left and then maternity leave starts... my oh my!  It's starting to really hit me that, I AM GOING TO HAVE A BABY!  Friday is my next doc appt... she said she is going to test for group B strep then.  I think that's the part I'm dreading the most about having a baby, all the hands up in my crotch!

Well of course now that I'm here... typing.  I can't remember anything else.  Figures.
